Emergency Life Care (ELC) Sri Lanka
Emergency Life Care (ELC) Sri Lanka pioneered by Prof Shane Curran and Prof Chula Goonasekera has been the biggest attraction of all workshops SSCCEM has organised.

Here we are repeating the same the programme at the time of the Annual Congress this year too.

The energetic team of Australian Emergency Physicians obliged and went even further by agreeing to have a regional programme this year too and we are Batticaloa this time.

So our first event will be in Batticaloa and the team will be returning to Colombo just before the Main Sessions start for the second pre-congress workshop at LRH.

This time we will be featuring Emergency Physicians from USA as well broadening the international support for Emergency Medicine training in Sri Lanka.

ELC workshop has so far trained more than 200 post graduate and non PG medical professionals. If you have not got a chance yet, try this time to be part of this high quality training programme.

Advanced Life Support Workshop

Due to the high demand for an ALS workshop with international trainers SSCCEM is organising a programme to complete the workshops of top calibre.

The workshop will be targeting medical professionals handling emergency situations in wards, emergency units and intensive care units where a well set trained team is necessary. The course coordinator will be Dr Gamini Wijeratne (Anaesthetist- Australia).

The event will be for a limited group of 24 where the skills development is the top priority. SSCCEM would give priority to the Consultants who are interested in getting an internationally recognised level of training in Advanced Life Support.

Paediatric Critical Care Session

SSCCEM having the reputation of adding new events every year to the Annual Congress is proud to announce the first ever Paediatric Critical Care Session. This one day event organised by Paediatric intensivists will discuss life threatening emergencies and give the participants training on how to face similar clinical scenarios in the ETU of ICU. This Session is ideal for medical officers who are managing ETUs and ICUs managing paediatric patients. Register early as the number of participants is strictly limited.
